developing our film

STORYBOARDS

Before filming our film beginning we decided to change certain aspect of our film as we evaluated our story boards and we agreed that we should change some of the scenes to add tension. We decided to add more acting and less scenes of paranormal activity as we agrees would have been too much action and too much of our whole film idea in the first two minutes.

the british film council

In recent years the government has shut down a government funded film company called "The British Film Council." this was because they government felt that they weren't spending their money wisely and they were even misusing the money in some cases.

choosing a production company

Blumhouse Productions has become one of the premiere horror movie studios operating today. The entire business plan for Blumhouse is to make low budget movies with great scripts and ideas, cast name stars in the lead roles, and then watch the money flow in. They now have three movie franchises kicking up in their first three major attempts. Here is a look at the successful movie franchises from Blumhouse Productions.
We thought that the description of this production company fitted with the nature of our film perfectly with its genre being horror, and the budget being a low cost budget.

Music and Sound effects

music and sound effects

we chose a non copyright piece of music for our film opening as we used garageband to compose our music. our music is non diagetic until it comes to the kettle and the radio turning on and off the sound then become diagetic. for our garageband piece it is mainly piano, we chose this particular piece as it adds tension and a kind of mysterious feel to our film opening. it was hard matching the music to the scene but with the use of trial and error we managed to overcome this problem.
